Ava Cadavra is a Sim residing in Strangetown inThe Sims 2 for Gameboy Advance and for Nintendo DS . Ex-drummer for the band The Germinators with Vera Vex, Ava now spends most of her time brooding.

The Urbz: Sims in the City (handheld)

Ava's sprite character first made her appearance in the handheld version of The Urbz: Sims in the City. She serves as a cashier for Phoebe Twiddle's shop. However, unlike her appearance in The Sims 2, she has short purple hair, and is wearing a white tank top instead of a black coat. She cannot be interacted with at the time.

The Sims 2 (GBA)

Ava is one of the Townies whom at the beginning of the game not aware of the fact that the area that they live in is part of a TV series and that they are being filmed. She runs the town's main diner and sells the food.

The Sims 2 (Nintendo DS)

Ava first appears in Strangetown in search of "history." She demands to stay in the Penthouse and is the second antagonist in the game. She commands the player's Sim to build a cave where she tricks people into worshiping a statue of the Prime Heifer. She also demands the player's Sim to get her a mystic cowbell and a tube of "rotting eggplant" lipstick. She tries to bring the Prime Heifer into the physical world, but, after listening to Horus Menhoset IX, the player's Sim destroys the statue, which causes Ava to furiously leave the hotel and set the Penthouse on fire.

Trivia

  • Both she and her boss, Phoebe, had their debut appearances as shopkeepers who had no major role in the game, but later became interactable characters in the subsequent appearance.

Etymology

Ava Cadavra is possibly based on the Aramaic עַבְדָא כְּדַברָא, avda kedavra, meaning "what was said has been done." This phrase is also the origin of abracadabra.
