Belinda and her sisters appear to be references to the Halliwell sisters from the TV Show Charmed, which deals with three witches whose names all start with the same letter. Belinda would take the role of the middle sister Piper Halliwell, who also has to bear her two sisters quarrels, and who works in a restaurant, pretty much like Belinda. The sisters also resemble the Sanderson sisters from Disney's Hocus Pocus.

Whether or not Belinda or her two sisters are related to the Crumplebottom family from Sunset Valley is up to the player's speculation.
