The Briggs family is a pre-made family from Mesa Flats, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims Pet Stories. The family consists of James Briggs and his wife Kadisha Briggs. James and Kadisha were the best of friends long before they became a couple. Their romance and subsequent marriage is one of the Mesa Flats' best-known success stories. James works in the Vice Squad of the police force in the Law Enforcement career track. He wanted to be a police officer ever since he can remember. Mesa Flats may not be the most glamorous place to keep the peace, but James is reasonably sure he'll be able to keep coming home to Kadisha. Kadisha approaches everything she does with a laid-back and easygoing attitude. Although she may seem carefree, she's very dependable.
James makes numerous appereances in the Midnight Masquerade story as Stephen's best friend, and is already introduced at the beginning of the story where he reminds Stephen of his cousin's wedding. Kadisha does not make an appearance in the story.
The Briggs family lives in 56 Newland Avenue and becomes playable from there after the story is finished.
