Her name is a pun on a "chastity belt or gear", a belt used by females to symbolize their restriction to Woohoo, which is quite ironical to Chastity's character liking liaison.
Sometimes, Chastity has a strange glitch so that she can't get married, she will just be engaged no matter how many times the player attempts to marry her; she will even gain multiple memories of marriage to the same Sim from this. This will occasionally cause her to become permanently frozen.
