Cheats are used for many reasons, story making, glitch fixing, just for fun or to make a tricky situation easier. There are cheats in both The Sims, The Sims 2 and The Sims 3.

Cheat Mode

To get into to cheat mode press CTRL + SHIFT + C during game play. Once you are in cheat mode, simply type in the cheat and hit enter. Do this every time you want to use one of the cheats. Cheats can be repeated by typing the expression ":;" after the code. Ending the code with ":" will repeat the cheat indefinitely until the player either closes the cheat box or removes the colon.
