The city hall is the chief administrative building of Sunset Valley and Riverview in The Sims 3. It's also a main landmark in the towns and was featured in many promotional videos and snapshots for The Sims 3.

At City Hall, Sims can get a job in the political career (therefore it is the workplace of the Leader of the Free World), take a charisma class, change their name (both first and last),[1] register to be self-employed in a skill career[TS3:A] and tour city hall.

Sims can WooHoo here but they might get caught by the security and be asked to leave.

Sometimes, there may be a protest outside of the city hall (mostly when the player first moves in a household), in which Sims can join in (though nothing will happen after it's finished). The protesters carry signs with random pictures on it, if you chose to join the protest your sim will pick up a sign.

The Sunset Valley city hall is much bigger than the Riverview city hall. It is right by the park in both Sunset Valley and Riverview like many other places.

Notes

  1. Household/lot name and description can not be changed here. Change them in "Edit Town" mode.
