This section describes features that are only available in The Sims 2: University.

A young adult Sim's Class Performance determines their grade for each semester. Sims can increase their performance by:

  • Going to Classes
  • Doing Assignments
  • Doing Research
  • Writing a Term Paper
  • Talking to Professors
  • Hacking grades
  • Being Tutored
  • Influencing someone to do their assignments or write their term papers
  • Taking the Final Exam
  • Having romantic relationships with professors
  • Having WooHoo with their professor

If a Sim's grade is too low they will be put on Academic Probation, and will repeat the semester. If they fail the semester again, they will be expelled. If they do well they can get on the Dean's List, which is often a major want for Knowledge Sims.

For each major, each semester has a minimum requirement in three skills. A Sim will not be able to reach the maximum Class Performance if they do not meet or exceed that requirement in all three skills. A Sim who does not meet or exceed the requirement in at least two of the three skills will not be able to gain enough Class Performance to avoid probation.

Sims who autonomously do assignments will gain Class Performance upon completing them.
