- The ability to buy custom-made pets from pet stores. There are no pet stores in The Sims 3. EA has released a pet store that is downloadable for free in the official store, but it still does not sell pets. Cats and dogs can only be gained through adoption of computer-made ones, except for horses which can be both adopted or bought at the stable.
