Kate Gunner doesn't discriminate : she hates everyone equally. But there is a special place in her heart for vampires, and she will never shut up about that. She speaks her mind, and if you're not happy about that, she'll gladly back it up with the fighting skills it took for her to go this far in her career. The way to the top isn't an easy one. There's been obstacles on her road. Sweat. Blood. And she knows it's not over. She's not going to let herself be intimidated by the Goodmans, or anyone else, for that matter. Kate Gunner (née Winchester) is a pre-made werewolf living in Greenwood with her children, Emily, Erin and Dwight Gunner. Her third daughter, Taylor, ran away before the beginning of the game and is now living with the Goodmans. Her husband, Jonathan Gunner, went missing a few years prior to the beginning of the game in unclear circumstances. When first played, Kate is 15 days away from being an elder.

She is a very bad tempered Sim, and one of the few people in Greenwood to completely lack Nice points. She is also the shoving Sim when a Sim from another household looks through the telescope during the day. It is possible that she regularly spies on her neighbors herself, as there is a tall watchtower with a telescope at the top of it in the yard of her house.

While Emily, Erin and Dwight view her as their friend, this is not mutual as she sees all of her children as acquaintances, including Taylor, who views her as an enemy. Kate is enemies with all the vampires in town, but also dislikes Tonic Bitter and her own cousin Wendy Winchester, among others.

Trivia

• In an early version of Greenwood where the supernatural elements hadn't been implemented yet, her name was Kate Browning and she had a fourth daughter who was slightly older than Dwight. Her appearance was also different.
