The Crystal family is a family that was introduced in The Sims 2 and returned for The Sims 3. The family will be re-appearing in The Sims 4 living in Willow Creek.The version of the family appearing in The Sims 4 will be a rebooted (alternative) version of the family continuing on from their reboot in The Sims 2: Mansion & Garden Stuff.

The current known members of the Crystal family are Ruby Crystal, Carlton Crystal, Diamond Crystal, Vincent Crystal, Tanya Crystal, Sonya Crystal, Darren Crystal, Jenna Crystal, Amanda Crystal, Thomas Crystal, Rachel Crystal, Scott Crystal, Adam Crystal, and Elizabeth Crystal.

Ruby and Carlton Crystal founded Crystal-Reed Valley (formely Crystal Valley) and thus spent most of their life there along with most later generations of the family. The family are the richest and oldest family in town as they are the key founders. In The Sims 2 a small section of the Valley is bought by the Reed family. The Reed family eventually become co-founders of the town after Jenna gets married to Thomas Crystal (nee Reed) leading to the change in the towns name.

• In The Sims 2: Mansion & Garden Stuff each member of the family got slight changes to their appearances. They also got slightly different personality's and some got completely different aspirations and Turn Ons & Turn Offs. They all got completely new outfits to go with the reboot.
• The family are not rich and do not own the town and are therefore classed as normal, regular Sims. (They have §54,000)
• Tanya and Darren have no kids.
  • Although Tanya is in the very early stages of pregnancy when you first play as the family and thus does not have a pregnancy bump.
  • When the baby is born it will always be a girl. She resembles Jenna and is most probably supposed to be her as Jenna is confirmed to return in The Sims 4.
  • Sonya lives with Tanya and Darren and appears to have a much better relationship with her sister than her original counterpart.
  • Sonya was changed the most from her original counterpart getting a completely new hair style and had the most facial features changed.
• Diamond and Vincent are alive and playable for the first time ever.
• In The Sims 2: Mansion & Garden Stuff they have a pet Cat called Nibbles.
  • This is the first time the family have a pet as their original counterparts never had a pet in The Sims 2 or The Sims 3.
