James Parker is a Sim who lives with his wife, Joanna Parker, in Willow Creek. He currently has five children with his wife. They are twins, Jared and Janet, daughters, Julia and Jenna, and youngest, Jordan.

Despite starting as a Mailroom Technician in the Business career with four children and a fifth on the way as well as paying for a home, James is able to prove his worth and steadily earn promotions. Currently, he works as a Senior Manager. He adores this position and has no intention of trying to earn any more promotions.

Life History Edit

Background Edit

Nothing is really known about who James's parents are and whether or not he has any siblings. It is not implied whatsoever that he doesn't like to talk about his past. In any case, James's heritage is a big mystery. It is implied by the family description that he and Joanna dated for a long time as they are described as being longtime sweethearts. He eventually marries her and has four children with her.

The Sims 4 Edit

James moves in with Joanna at Potters Splay, Courtyard Lane, Willow Creek. He then has Jared, Jacob, Julia, and Jenna with Joanna. All the while, James is working as a Mailroom Technician in the Business career. James is also friends with his neighbor, Riley Cagle.

James becomes excited when he learns that Joanna is pregnant with their fifth child. As a result, James begins working harder at his job where he has to fill out daily reports after coming home from work. His hard work pays off and he is promoted to Office Assistant. With a new bump in his pay, James is able to contract a nursery to be built next to his and Joanna's bedroom.

He is also able to take family leave at his job and so he takes advantage of it on Joanna's expected delivery date. When she does actually go into labor, James calmly has his children go to school before he begins freaking out. He calms down when he and Joanna welcome their new son, Jordan, into the world.

Following Jordan's birth, James continues to use his family leave so Joanna can return to work herself. He spends one day taking care of Jenna and Jordan as well as cook supper for the family. However, he returns to work full time after Joanna decides to quit to become a stay-at-home mother.

He then goes on a date night with Joanna after she has had a stressful day as a stay-at-home mother. James treats his wife to the XP Mont. Originally, it was supposed to be the two of them, but when they run into their neighbors, Riley and Sage Cagle, they decide to eat with them, making it a Couples Night. A couple of days later, after returning to work full time, James is promoted from Office Assistant to Assistant to the Manager. His promotion helps the Parkers stabilize a little better after he finds out Joanna narrowly paid he bills. As a result of his promotion, James invites Riley over for another round of video games. Then, a couple of days later, James becomes Best Friends Forever with Joanna because he is proud of her for helping Jenna master her thinking skill.

After returning home from work one evening, James is promoted yet again. This time he is promoted to Assitant Manager. A couple of days later, James is informed by Jared that he's been dating someone. Jared also tells James that he wants to take his relationship to the next level but doesn't know how to do it. James advises Jared that he should profess his love from his heart, but also warns him that love can be a fickle thing. Later that evening, after returning from his date, Jared tells James and Joanna that they're going to meet his girlfriend. James expresses excitement that he's going to meet Jared's girlfriend, but also pride that Jared is ready for such a step.

A couple of days later, James does meet Karissa while he sees her taking care of Jordan. They instantly hit it off after they meet. Later on, James allows Riley to come over. However, Riley decides to release his anger by knocking over the garbage can. While James is able to calm Riley, he asks why Riley is angry. Riley refuses to give James and answer and leaves right afterwards. At the end of the day, James, along with Joanna, tell Jared that they love his girlfriend, resulting in Jared's happiness.

The day after meeting Karissa, James is promoted to Regional Manager at his job. Despite his recent accomplishment, he casually mentions it as Joanna informs him that the Cagles are moving soon. Understanding that was the source of Riley's anger yesterday, James invites him over one last time. James tells Riley that he knows that he's moving and tries to help Riley take his mind off it by playing one final round of video games due to Jame's promotion. After having dinner and Riley leaves, but before going to bed, James is suggested by Joanna that they should throw a going away party for the Cagles. James agrees completely with Joanna's idea.

At the going away party, James has one final video game session with Riley before he moves. The next evening, on a unusually warm fall day, he also learns about Jackie's relationship with David Wren. In fact, he has a nice conversation with him, Joanna, and Jackie that same evening. A few days later, James is promoted to Senior Manager of his office, but he celebrates humbly because of Riley's move.

Another few days, James learns about the incident that happened to Joanna with Crystal Lawson earlier that day. While Joanna says she handled the situation, James thinks that they should apologize for any confusion in order to teach Julia something. Joanna realizes and agrees. However, when James tries to make a friendly gesture towards Steven Lawson, he refuses it. James and Joanna both yell at Steven for his rudeness. Crystal overhears their arguing and demands them all inside where the situation doesn't get any better. James and Joanna decide to go home and teach Julia that she shouldn't hang out with nasty, jealous people like the Lawsons.

Not too long after the Lawsons does James learn Joanna about the Cagles. James learns that Riley and Sage have welcomed a new daughter named Karli. James decides to call Riley to congratulate him and wish him well. That next evening, James learns that her sister-in-law, Jackie Rose, plans on moving to Oasis Springs in order to accept a promotion. Later, on that Sunday, James, Joanna, and Jackie are told by Jared and Karissa that she is pregnant as well as the fact that she's been kicked out of her house. James agrees with Joanna to let Karissa stay as long as it's needed before he and his wife lecture Jared to focus on school despite everything. Later that night, James and Joanna pull Karissa aside to tell her that they will be speaking to her parents.

After coming home from work and before leaving for the Gallagher house, James also learns from Joanna that she met Sharon DeMonet and that Julia has a chance to attend DeMonet's school in Windenburg. James simply says that they'll tell Julia after they speak with the Gallaghers. James heads with Joanna over to the Gallagher home where they finally meet Maggie and Lawrence Gallagher. James explains to them that Karissa has been living at his house, but Lawrence cuts him off. He then explains to James and Joanna that he and Maggie agree to keep Karissa out of their house for getting pregnant. While Maggie remains silent, James leaves with his wife when there is nothing further to discuss.

Upon returning home, James and Joanna tell Jared and Karissa about their meeting with her parents and how she is forever banned. He and Joanna both agree to let Karissa stay as long as she wants now. James then goes on to lecture Karissa about focusing on school before deciding what to do with the baby, but she declares that she's going to keep it. Karissa then thanks James and Joanna for giving her a place to stay. The next evening, James and Joanna then pull Julia aside to tell her about her chance to attend DeMonet's school. Julia immediately accepts, causing James to ask if she's certain. Then, Julia reveals to him and Joanna that she's been bullied and friendless since her fallout with Jessica. Joanna feels pity and says she'll call DeMonet, which makes Julia to thank her parents.

During Harvestfest, Jacob speaks to James in private where he comes out as a woman to his father. Jacob also tells James about his plan to move to Oasis Springs with Jackie. James is thankful for his son being able to tell him such a difficult thing. He is also very accepting of Jacob's identity and approves of his plan on the condition that Joanna knows about it. James later enjoys Harvestfest dinner with the rest of his family.

Some weeks after Harvestfest, James meets his new grandchildren, Brody and Nicole Parker. Several weeks following his grandchildren's birth, James says goodbye to his daughter, Janet, his sister-in-law, Jackie, and his other daughter, Julia, as they leave for Oasis Springs and Windenburg respectively.
