Marcia is a member of the rich and large Dortheimer family. She is a member of the 5th generation of the family. Marcia is one of the few Dortheimers to have cut off the bridges with the rest of the family.
Biography
Childhood and teenage years
Marcia is the second daughter of the rich and famous Bridgeport actress Pekoe Dortheimer. Pekoe was kinda careless about her and her sister, and her father died in a fire when she still was a toddler. She therefore was mostly raised by babysitters, and became friends with her babysitter Peyton Suzuki. She enjoyed having people around, and brought home many new friends after school.
However, she never liked her sister Octavie, who was cold and vain. The two quickly became enemies and they fought all the time.
Marcia was not a very good student, preferring to hang around with friends to her homework. She also collected rare gemstones. She met another teen called Charles Bordeaux, and he became one of her many friends. However, he quickly became more than a friend and they went steady together. During this time, her mother grew old, and moved out to Barnacle Bay, to her twin sister, the businesswoman Vanda Dortheimer. She then was all alone with her evil sister.
Moving out Bridgeport
When she grew into a young Adult, Marcia married Charles, and he moved in with her. Charles was hated by Octavie, and Marcia's wedding was almost immediately ruined because of this. They thought about moving out, but they hesitated.
They finally decided to leave at Pekoe's funeral in Barnacle Bay. She there met her cousin Gwénaëlle, who told her the truth about her father's grim fate.
Rémi La Fresnay was a Don Juan as well as a Gold digger. He had the very bad idea to date two Dortheimer sisters: Pekoe and Blanche, an had kids with both of them. The two discovered the truth, and they decided to punish him. And they commited the first crime in the dreadful Dortheimer history. He was burnt to death, and the betrayed sisters buried him into the nearby woods. No one told it to Rémi's children, but everyone else in the family knew it and approved. Marcia and Charles were horrified and quickly fled. The Dortheimer family never heard about them again.
A new life in Desiderata Valley
The couple escaped to a small neighborhood called Desiderata Valley, in a nice and modern house. They bought a friendly but dull dog, Nonos. Marcia discovered a passion for Art and Craft, and took a job in the Construction. Her husband worked in the Oceanography.
Marcia promptly grew a strong web of friends, including Christa Hsu, Opal Contrary, Vyn Scott, Tiffany Zarubin and many more.
She discovered she was pregnant, and she was really tired for the whole three days. She did not get out of the couch in the living room until her daughter Paulette was born.
Her unquenchable thirst for friendship led her to taking "roommates", two engaged people, Midge and Roberto Peacock. These two already had a kid, called Gilbert, who quickly befriended the young Paulette. The Peacock family became very good friends with the Dortheimers.
However, Roberto was a Dom Juan, and he had an affair with a townie. Midge discovered this, and they divorced. This saddened Marcia, who decided to learn Couple Counseling. However this was too late. This whole thing caused such a mess in the household that they totally forgot about the bills, and the repo-man took one chair and the TV.
Marcia then got a promotion, and rebought the stuff that was taken away. She also became best friends with Nonos.
