Fanon:Nina Caliente (Mercenary)

Nina Caliente is a Mercenary living in Bluewater Village. She is the twin sister of Dina Caliente and lives in a posh, modern beach-house and runs a surfing souvenir shop at home. Unbeknownst to many Sims in Bluewater Village, Nina is also a mercenary for hire and has several contacts in the criminal underworld of Bluewater Village's district, which also has a small outpost in a bay hidden from Bluewater Village by its mountains.
Biography Edit
Early Life Edit
Nina describes her childhood and teenage years as "mildly pleasant". She was born to Flamenco Caliente and Nighat Caliente in Pleasantview, making her one-half Spanish from her father's side, and one-half Arabic from her mother's side. She also has distant alien ancestry, as her grandfather Nestor Caliente, was abducted by aliens and gave birth to a half-alien half-sim Hybrid which was her father. Not much is known of Nina after this, although she makes several comments which suggests she was trained in the use of firearms as a teenager by an unknown person.
Mercenary Life and the Surf Shop Edit
Nina was briefly involved with Don Lothario in an affair, but the relationship was short-lived after Nina was approached by a Mafia boss and hired to join a mercenary team raiding a rival's territorial warehouse. Fearing for Don's safety if they dared to threaten her, she agreed and broke her relationship with him, although they remained friends after. Nina became a freelance mercenary after a few more jobs, some of which involved shootouts at a bar and gunfights in the slums of SimCity.
After her identity was exposed to the police, Nina fled SimCity and eventually Pleasantview as well, staying on the run until she settled down on an old abandoned beach house, which she renovated using the funds she acquired as a mercenary. The beachhouse was given a posh, modern look and secretly had an underground hideout as well, used by old pirates and the occasional criminal. The hideout became a sanctuary for pirates in the seas north of Bluewater Village, although Nina would demand hefty sums in exchange for housing them. She opened a surf shop to keep a low profile and bribed Bluewater Village's officials to keep quiet over her presence in town.
Cecelia and Running the Surf Shop Edit
Nina returned to SimCity for a job and met Cecelia Pleasant along the way, who had run away from home and was living on the streets for a short while. Cecelia, who was fascinated by Nina's profession, stalked her through the city, almost causing Nina's presence to be exposed to her victims. After a narrow escape from the police and a shootout at a hotel, Cecelia cornered Nina and requested to tag along. Nina, horrified by the teen's morbid fascination, harshly rebuked the girl and almost threatened to murder her when she began to stalk Nina again. Cecelia grudgingly returned home.
Personality and Skills Edit
Nina is constantly amused and surprisingly easy-going for a mercenary. She holds no loyalties to anyone save for family which is far away in Pleasantview, and does her job when told. She has no qualms over killing the people she was hired to kill and holds no remorse for her actions. She dreams of one day starting a family, but refrains from doing so as her current occupation clashes with her dreams.
Nina takes her job as a mercenary seriously and constantly rules out that her reasoning for becoming a mercenary was due to a commitment to an old man who trained her in the use of firearms. However, she is known to have a hot temper and often causes trouble when angered.
Nina is skilled in the use of firearms and carries a variety of guns. Her signature weapon is a Heckler & Koch P30L Pistol with 9x19mm Caliber, although she can also use Rocket launchers, shotguns, and machine guns. She also has remarkable speed and strength, having honed her physical condition to top shape.
