Queen Petunia Toadsburg The Great (born June 12, 1382) was the first monarch of Toadsburg. She is an ancestor and the medieval counterpart of Nia Toadstool.

Biography

On June 12, 1382, Petunia was born to Algernon (b.1350) and Helewise (b.1362). She was born in a very, very small village, her father was a knight to a nearby kingdom. She had been known to be extremely helpful to the villagers, she was almost a natural leader. On her 18th birthday in 1400, she had some villagers build her a castle on the hall in exchange for she gave them food. In 1401, she had finally established her kingdom and began her queenly duties.

Most of her first years were spent listening to the many requests of the inhabitants of her kingdom. She was a very kind person and she had a lot of popularity among this kingdom. She cared mainly about the safety of the kingdom and always was willing to help people when needed. She helped a man who was beat up by the town bully, and he became her loyal servant.

She also was good at impressing the leaders of other kingdoms, like Tredony and Crafthole by appealing to what they like and trying to help them. She helped Tredony's prince fix his relationship with his spouse, and made a special drink for Crafthole's princess, which she enjoyed so much she asked for the recipe.

In 1402, she had set up a tavern in the kingdom at the request of a bard named Auguste Maudit, and she had became great friends with him. Lady Petunia always loved listening to bards play music when she was little, so she had no problem setting up a new tavern in town.

In the June 1402, Petunia had fallen for the young bard Auguste, and they eventually began courting each other. Petunia was so infatuated with Auguste that she ended up WooHooing him in late August. The next week, she ended up pregnant.

She realized that having a illegitimate child could tarnish her reputation as monarch, so she kept her pregnancy a secret, got betrothed to Auguste, and then set up a Peteran Church, so that they could get married before Petunia ended up having her first child. The priestess of the church was Alexandra Reedus, a scholarly woman. Although Alexandra is a little vain, Petunia became best friends with her. Petunia and Auguste got married on September 3, 1402. On April 27, 1403, Princess Ethelinda was born. In 1409, Ethelinda was six years old and was already showing signs of being a bad person. However she was the only heir to the throne.

Religion

Petunia was first agnostic, however she still believed in the Watcher. In 1402, she converted to Peteran, because she appreciated the values of the Peteran church, and she needed to get married at a church. Alexandra also had influence in Petunia's religious choice.

Petunia does not like the Jacoban religion, and believes that they are cruel people. However, she also believes that everyone should have the right to practice their religion.
