In 1981, she went solo as a pop singer and became a sensation on the '80s music scene. As of 2017, she has sold 70 million albums internationally. In January 2006, she was named the world's wealthiest female musician with a total net worth of 560 million dollars.

American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman. She achieved popularity by pushing the boundaries of lyrical content in mainstream popular music and imagery in her music videos, which became a fixture on MTV. Rose is known for reinventing both her music and image, and for maintaining her autonomy within the recording industry. Music critics have acclaimed her musical productions, which have generated some controversy. Referred to as the "Queen of Pop", Rose is often cited as an influence by other artists.

Rose Harmony's birth name is Kay Rose Holmes but named "Kay" and added "Harmony" at the end when her mother passed away because her name was Harmony. Harmony Holmes died of breast cancer when Rose was only five years old. Her father, Silivo, married the house maid nearly right after Harmonys death in 1965. The maid, Joan went on the have multiple children with Silivo. Rose never grew to like her step-mother, Joan.
