Samuel Lawrence 'Sam' Turner is a Sim created by Micah-l-lucas who resides with the Turner family in Newcrest. He resides with his wife Minnie Turner and five of their six children: Julia Turner, Matilda Turner, Freddie Turner, Roy Turner, and Calvin Turner.

History[edit | edit source]

Sam Turner was born in 1870 to a wealthy family in Brindleton Bay. He worked as a horse jockey throughout his youth. In 1890 he left his family to marry Minnie Carpenter, whom his family did not approve of because she did not come from a wealthy family. The Turner family was aware of the Carpenters because they were known horse breeders in the area. Sam and Minnie eloped and moved to Newcrest, where they built a farmhouse and made plans to start a family.

He and Minnie had six children together: George (1891), Julia (1893), Matilda (1896), Freddie (1898), Roy (1898), and Calvin (1901). Unlike typical fathers of the age, Sam wanted to be very involved in his children's lives and saw to the fact that they were taken care of. To take care of his family, he would breed frogs and fish. In 1903, he obtained a business job to have a regular source of income outside of frog breeding and fishing.

Following his oldest son marrying and moving to Brindleton Bay, Sam brought home a Redbone Coonhound puppy whom the children named Bo.
