Hi Simmers!

What do you think of creating pages with accurate plans from different places through the whole The Sims serie in order to help our fellows Simmers to recreate their favourites places ?

We could do the same thing for premade Sims of the whole serie, like post pictures of each of their outfits, their facial structure, personnality etc... (We could also just add this feature to actual pages of premade Sims).

As you know, a lot of people love to recreate houses and Sims from their favourites games, thus by doing so, the Sims wiki will be the most complete database of The Sims series ! M.Plènozas (talk) 22:36, March 12, 2018 (UTC)

I can't see any particular reason, from a policy standpoint, why this kind of content wouldn't fit on The Sims Wiki. The trick is figuring out exactly where it would fit. If you look at the articles about premade Sims, you'll find that many of them already do have extensive descriptions of their physical and personality features, in many cases right down to the exact "face template" and other templates that were used to create them. With that information, someone could make mirror-perfect recreations of many different Sims.

I guess where I'm a little confused, though, is your mentioning "accurate plans from different places;" could you elaborate on that a bit more? Are you talking about floor plans for in-game houses and buildings? -- LostInRiverview ^{talk · blog · contribs} 00:15, March 13, 2018 (UTC)

For the Sims, we could either make new pages for that or add a new part to each Sims page with the most accurate description on their features (with a screenshot of their CAS physical cursors for example).

Regarding houses and community lots, I mean create plans for each premade lots in order to help people to recreate them. For example, a complete list of the furnitures used, their place in the house, the size of the field, floors and wallpapers used, the exact position of the walls on the lot... EVERYTHING to recreate perfectly the buildings.

We could add pictures for every features of the buildings in order to help people find the most similar item to replace another one which is missing from a game to another.

It sure is a lot of work, but it could be fun to do, step by step, at our pace.M.Plènozas (talk) 00:30, March 13, 2018 (UTC)

I second this suggestion... I think the idea of posting lot floorplans is promising but it seems pretty complicated, and I'd like to see what it looks like in practice. -- LostInRiverview ^{talk · blog · contribs} 01:07, March 13, 2018 (UTC)
