She used to live with her mother, Catarina, brother, Sebastian, and step-father, Renauld Vanderburg. Her family was considered the royalty of the neighborhood and Francisca was the former princess. Her mother pressured her to marry. Tired of being told how to live, Francisca ran off to the woods to pursue her dream of writing novels.
