The ''Get a Life'' mode begins after the player has made a character. The character is found in a nice house with a [[hot tub]] in the middle. All of a sudden, a character of the opposite sex appears, and kisses the player's character. S/he then gets into the hot tub and asks the player's character to join him/her. If the character gets in, the character suddenly hears a woman's voice saying "stop daydreaming", ''But'' if you don't get in the hot tub, she says "''You'' never joined me in the hot tub, I'm out of here!" then game over.

The Get a Life mode is a gameplay mode available in the console version of The Sims. The mode is a goal based storyline in which various objectives must be accomplished to reach new areas, which unlock various items in the buy area of the free play mode.

In this mode, you play one Sim (whom you create), and move through various missions and houses. Your Sim will live with other characters during this time. While you can control these other characters, some of them don't do skill-boosting activities, and they rarely clean or cook.

Intro[edit | edit source]

Get a Life mode begins with the player sim finding themselves in the Dream House. Out of a smoke another sim appears (Randy if the player sim is female, and Roxy if the player sim is male) and kisses the player. The Dream Hottie then gets into the heart-shaped hot tub and asks the player to join.

  • If the player gets in, a dialogue from the Hottie pops up saying "[Player]! stop daydreaming! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!"
  • If the player doesn't get in, dialogues from the Hottie will pop up reminding them to join them in the tub.
  • If the player never gets in, a GAME OVER dialogue pops up saying "YOU never JOINED me in the hot tub! I'm outta here!" and you are returned to the main menu.
