The Hecking family is a pre-made family residing in Brindleton Bay, the world introduced in The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs. It consists of the married couple Brent and Brant Hecking, and their dog Rosie. They live in the It's A Good House lot and start off with 30,522 Simoleons.
Onomatology
Hecking: "Heck" is a word used to censor "hell".
Brent: Possibly derived from a Celtic word meaning "hill".
Brant: Derived from the Old Norse name Brandr, which means "sword" or "fire".
Rosie: Diminutive of the English name Rose.

Trivia
- This is the first pre-made LGBT couple in The Sims 4 and the second one in the series, after the Shear family in Roaring Heights from The Sims 3 Store.
- In promotional material for Cats & Dogs, the Hecking family also had a cat named Joaquin, which didn't make it into the final game.[1]
- The family is a reference to a meme "they're good dogs Brent" from the Twitter user, WeRateDogsTM, who were tweeting to a user to the user @Brant about his complaints of giving illogical ratings to dog pictures.[2][3]
- The family name "Hecking" is a reference to the common word @dog_rates would use to describe dogs.
- The lot the family lives on is called "It's A Good House" referencing the phrase "they're good dogs Brent".
- Brant and Brent are both names referred to the user @Brant, to which @dog_rates jokingly replied with their name as Brent instead.
