Irma Oldie is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during her lifetime in Pleasantview, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. She was the wife of Myron Oldie, the mother of Herb Oldie, who became the husband of Coral Oldie (née Ruggbyrne), the adoptive grandmother of Mary-Sue Pleasant (née Oldie), who was adopted by Herb and Coral, and the adoptive great-grandmother of Angela and Lilith Pleasant, the twin daughters of Mary-Sue and her husband Daniel Pleasant.
Although Irma is deceased when the game begins, she appears in the family tree of her son Herb, and adoptive granddaughter Mary-Sue. According to Herb's memories, Irma passed away after their son, Herb, got engaged. Her husband Myron passed away later, after Mary-Sue got adopted. According to Irma's SimDNA in SimPE, her hair was red before it turned grey. According to her age data, she had 38 days left in the elder life stage when she died.
Like most pre-made deceased Sims from The Sims 2, Irma is completely unplayable without the use of hacks or third party programs, such as SimPE. She is most well known as the only example of an unused hairstyle named "beehive hairdo" that was originally planned as an option for female Sims, but was scrapped before the release of the game. There was a similar hairstyle in The Sims, which was blonde and named "The Puff". Irma's name may be a pun on the phrase "I'm an oldie". Her son Herb and his wife Coral are available in Pleasantview's family bin at the start of The Sims 2.
