James Hoppcraft is a Sim who lives in Moonlight Falls. He is married to Miriam Hoppcraft and he had a son with her, Alfred. He is a Top Secret Researcher, at level 8 in the Science career, and he has 7 points in Logic, 3 in Fishing, 5 in Handiness and 6 in Gardening.

Both James and his wife strogly dislike supernatural, being a traditional family. They love their son and a sure everyone in town envy them for having such a nice child. Still, they do not know that Alfred was turned into a fairy by the elderly Flora Goodfellow, and this might lead Miriam and James to severe problems dealing with their son's supernatural status.
