Jessica Peterson (previously DeBateau) is one of the pre-made Sims in Belladonna Cove. She is a Fortune Sim with a job in the slacker career as a Record Store Clerk.
Implied to be a gold digger, Jessica was once the wife of the well-known socialite Armand DeBateau, before he broke up with her after she was found in an affair with Mystery Sim. Although, it is said that she divorced him when he demanded an heir, the cheating is most likely the reason for causing the divorce.
After moving into a small mobile apartment lot she started pursuing Carlos Contender. This is perhaps due to his money, and his closeness to death by Old Age (since Carlos is an elder with a large amount of cash Jessica could simply wait until he dies so that she may keep all his money and get an inheritance as well).
Often going unnoticed, Carlos will still have a few more days left to live after Jessica becomes an Elder in 22 days. Strangely enough, she seems to have a good relationship with Tara DeBateau, Armand's adoptive daughter.
Jessica has a very negative reputation score, of "Lousy Loser", possibly caused by breaking up with Armand DeBateau, a well known socialite, and also because of her mean spirited personality.

Trivia
- Mistakenly, Jessica has a memory of her parents' death but it is a memory for unknown people not beloved one.
- While Armand had been in love with Jessica before they divorced, the feelings were not reciprocated by Jessica - she has no memory of falling in love with Armand, which may confirm single players' deductions that she only married him for the money.
- Jessica is very skillful and she would do it better if she worked in Military, Athletics, or Adventurer.
- She, along with Dina Caliente and Agnes Crumplebottom, was once married but has a different last name. In The Sims 2 there is no way to change people's surnames, thus she had to be edited in SimPE in order to have a different surname.
- Despite being a Fortune sim, Jessica has a hidden Romance aspiration token, which can be viewed in SimPE.
- Oddly, she doesn't have the memory of having mastered Body skill.
