Just out of school, Justin more than knows his way around the hi-tech electronic boards of electrical circuits. He's hoping that with his computer know-how and Inventing skills, he'll never have to work another day in his life.
Justin "Smack Pod" Kayes is a pre-made Sim who lives in Twinbrook from The Sims 3: Ambitions. He lives with his roommates Wei Keane and Lang Gwydd in their household, Hi-Tech Friends. He has 4 skills in Inventing, Logic, and Handiness, as well as the hidden Hacking skill. He is one of the several Sims to have the Perceptivetrait. Interestingly, each household who lives in Rue de Sterling has at least a member who has this trait. He has black hair, but his eyebrows are brown, which might mean he dyed his hair. Justin's name is a pun of "just in case".
Justin is unemployed, despite the fact that he is very skillful. It is implied that he has been a Computer Whiz since high school, and he leans on his capabilities in order to avoid work. This might mean he wants to be self-employed as an inventor. This is proved as his room has a workbench which probably he used to learn his Inventing skill, and that his lifetime wish has nothing to do with any career. He might also earn money by hacking, as he has skills in that field. Nevertheless, players are free to choose what Justin will do.
Justin is friends with his roommate Lang, but acquaintances with Wei. He is also friends with his neighbor, Anna-Liza Riddle, and Amy Bull who lives far from his home. Although at the start Justin is only friends with Amy, it might be better to pair them together, though players may not decide to do so. He is enemies with his neighbors next door, Bobby and Scout Sargeant. Lang is also enemies with them, but oddly, Wei is friends with their enemies. When the game is first played, Justin is 11 days from becoming an adult.
