Just before <Sim> plans to turn in the files, he/she realizes that Mr. Vanderseaux will only accept his files if they are ordered in a particular way. But how? He/She can convince Mr. Vanderseaux to represent her, though he may not be happy about it. Vanderseaux is entitled with 25% of the settlement, but a bit of time has passed and that money is most definitely worth more. <Sim> can give the Landgrabbs a call to demand the 25%, or take the risk and sue them for more. The witness, Carmen Eggers, refused to answer many of the questions asked to her. In fact, based on her reported location at the time of the crime, some of the answers may fill in some of the gaps in the case. Of course, she might also not know anything. Greg McPear is suing his mother, <Sim>'s client, for not raising him properly, even though he is a multi-millionaire businessman. <Sim>'s client simply wants the issue to go away and she has given <Sim> free reign to resolve the issue. <Sim> can settle with Greg, or counter-sue for slandering the mother. After all, scandal sells more papers than love!
