List of glitches (The Sims 3 era)
Here is the list of glitches in The Sims 3-based games (The Sims 3 and The Sims Medieval).

Load game error
A load game error can occur in The Sims 3 and The Sims Medieval if the game is unable to load the saved game or World file.
Save game error
Save game errors occur in The Sims 3 and The Sims Medieval if the game is unable to save.
The Sims 3 (Windows and Mac OS X)

Water Birth glitch I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but once my pregnant sim was in the bath and then she went into labor. I waited for days but she wouldn't get out of the bath no matter what i did.
Ramirez glitch
If a saved game is corrupted, sometimes the game would be abnormal. The tool tip would say that it might be saved in Expansion Pack data that does not exist even if that Town (Such as Bridgeport) exists in that game. It is unknown of what the name "Ramirez" means in The Sims 3.
The household name would be Ramirez instead of the original household name (e.g. Hemlock if the Hemlock family was being played as) even if a household was not played, the time would be read as 12:00 AM rather than the original time the game was saved at and the date as 12:45AM instead of the original date. The family description would be Lot description. Also it shows a family thumbnail (Which is displayed if a Town was saved without playing a household) but shows that a household was being played (See above).
If a different save is selected and then the corrupted save is selected, the save would have the name and description of the last save such as the Hemlock name and description.
Windows XP NVIDIA crash
On Windows XP with an NVIDIA driver version 191 would cause The Sims 3 and/or Windows XP to crash. A newer driver fixes this issue.
The crash does not occur in Windows Vista and Windows 7 (Due to different driver versions) or in The Sims, The Sims 2 and The Sims Stories. The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff and The Sims 3 Design & High-Tech Stuff later put a warning in the readme regarding this issue.

Some users after installing World Adventures got the Error Code 16 bug.

Buy a Video Game System glitch
In the 3.0 and 3.1 versions of The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff and The Sims 3 Design & High-Tech Stuff, the “Buy a Video Game System” wish would not be completed when buying the “GUGA JoyToy 3” and “Console 7” video game systems. This was addressed in 3.2, Ambitions and later games.

CAW Crash
In The Sims 3 Ambitions and the Ambitions update, Create a World would crash. The Ambitions compatible version and the update fixes this.

Ambitions lot crash
In the original version of The Sims 3 Late Night, placing a lot in Bridgeport, editing the new lot and then returning to Edit Town will cause a Game Crash which is caused by Ambitions Lots. This was fixed in 6.1 update and The Sims 3 Outdoor Living.
Skip Impressing Celebrity
It is possible to skip impressing the Celebrity by switching households. For example, if the Sim you are trying to socialize with is Emmy Starr but you must impress her (As she won't socialize with you), you switch to Old and New Glam and then switch back. You will be able to socialize with Emmy Starr despite that you had not impressed her. This is still present in The Sims 3 Outdoor Living and The Sims 3 Generations.
Bad Mood glitch
The bad mood glitch is a bug that occurs in the Late Night update through Generations, it can cause a Sim to be in a Bad Mood.
This glitch is not present in the original version of Late Night, The Sims 3 Fast Lane, Ambitions, The Sims 3 High-End Loft/Design & Hi-Tech, The Sims 3 World Adventures or the original The Sims 3. However, the glitch will occur in Fast Lane and prior games (Including The Sims 3 Deluxe) if the Nov 30, 2010 update is installed.

Memory glitches
There are memory glitches in Generations and the 1.22 update. There are 2 versions of the glitch.
Late for Work memory 250px|right|Video of the glitch where leaving work causes a Sim to be "Late for Work".
In The Sims 3 Generations and the 1.22 update, if a Sim leaves work, they will get the memory of being Late for Work after the Sim leaves work. The video above explains the glitch.
Becoming a Partner/Owning a business memory
If one Sim becomes a partner/owns a business, the wrong Sim will get the memory of becoming a partner/being the owner even though that Sim did not become the partner/owner. The message of the Sim who became a partner/owner does not appear nor does all Sims of the household get the memory notification but check the Sims' memory meaning that they got the memory.
Example of glitch in the Hemlock family: Wogan Hemlock becomes a partner but Morrigan Hemlock gets the memory of becoming a partner. Wogan does not get the memory notification even though that he did become a partner. Uninstall DVD glitch
In Windows, if the user inserts The Sims 3 Generations DVD, the user will be prompted to uninstall The Sims 3 Generations rather than opening The Sims 3 Launcher.
Create a World Edit in game glitch
If the update from May 31, 2011 is installed, using the Edit in Game mode will cause The Sims 3 Launcher to open instead. This will not occur if The Sims 3 Generations is installed as Generations will be opened by Create a World.
Motive Magenta 3000 motive glitch
The Motive Magenta 3000 does not max out a vampire's Thirst need but maxes out other motives. Humans will have their Hunger Need filled so these Sims are not effected by this glitch.

Save glitch
- Not to be confused with Save game error.
In the original version of The Sims 3 for PS3 and Xbox 360, the game may freeze when trying to save the game. Electronic Arts has released an update that fixes this problem.
The Sims Medieval
Tutorial glitch
In The Sims Medieval, if the player replaces a graphics card or updates the video driver, the player will be forced to redo the Tutorial. It can be fixed by editing the Options.ini file to disable the Tutorial.
