Mara Nix is pre-made child living in Moonlight Falls with her parents Annie Nix and Mike Nix. When she is first played she has the "New Friend" Moodlet. She starts off at level 2 fishing skill and carries a teddy bear and a copy of "Jimmy Sprocket and the Cave of the Dragon".

Mara is friends with her mother, father and Pip Goodfellow, who is the only person she knows outside her family. Despite having the angler trait and having a passion for fishing, Mara is afraid of water. When the family is first played, she is 6 days from being a teen.
