Mary Lu Broke is the deceased wife of Buck Broke, mother of Trigger and Susie Broke, aunt of Skip and Ruby Broke, and sister-in-law of Flat and Flo Broke. She has blonde hair, but with brown roots and eyebrows, hinting at the possibility of her dying it. However, whether or not she dyed her hair is not definitely known, as both Trigger and Susie have Buck's hair. Not much is known about her, since she was not mentioned in either The Sims or The Sims 2. She wears very eccentric and contrasting makeup.

Since she died as a young adult by starvation, and with Buck also being a young adult, it is likely that her death was relatively recent.

Her grave can be found at the Old Town Cemetery in Riverview.
