Matthiew Antross is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. He was the husband of Mary Antross, the father of Melanie DeBateau (née Antross), the grandfather of Armand DeBateau, and the adoptive great-grandfather of Tara DeBateau. Matthiew is completely resurrectable, even though he doesn't have a grave. He has the Romance aspiration, and the Taurus zodiac sign. As far as personality, Matthiew is very playful, and a little bit neat and outgoing. But he is quite lazy and somewhat grouchy.
According to Matthiew's SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was blond before it turned grey. According to his age data, he had 11 days left in the elder life stage when he died. Matthiew's facial structure is almost if not identical to the 27th Maxis face template in Create a Sim. Unlike several other married ancestors from Apartment Life who have memories of their spouses, he only has Mystery Sim memories. However Matthiew still has the memory of Melanie's birth.

This Sim can be brought back to life using the Resurrect-O-Nomitron, the genie lamp or an evil witch's spell.
