Mean spirited
Mean Spirited is a social trait in The Sims 3. Conflicts with: Friendly.
Mean Spirited Sims love to fight, mostly because they never lose in a brawl. They take satisfaction with every new enemy made and dream of new ways to be nasty to others.
Attributes
- More enemies means a better mood for the Sim.
- Sim always wins fights and will want to fight more.
- Mean Spirited Sims will autonomously use negative social interactions more than other Sims.
- Mean Spirited Sims are able to troll on forums like Evil, Grumpy or Inappropriate Sims.
Player Notes
- Provides a bonus to Sims writing in the Humor genre.
- Strange as this may sound, a Sim with the Good trait can still have the Mean-spirited trait, unless the player decide to have the Good Sim have the Friendly trait.
- Although many players believe that the Evil trait makes Sims the cruellest they can be, it is actually the Mean-Spirited trait that makes Sims this way. This is because Evil Sims can still have the Friendly trait, making the Evil Sim still polite to other Sims (even without the Friendly trait, Evil Sims are still not particularly bad-mannered in conversation). Mean-Spirited Sims, however, are never polite and enjoy hurting the feelings of almost every Sim they meet.
- Mean Spirited sims actually get a mood bonus for making enemies!
Unlocked interactions
- On the computer Mean Spirited Sims have the option to Troll on Forums. If successful this will result in a positive moodlet.
