Mercedes May is a Sim who is introduced in The Sims 3: Showtime. She lives with her friend Sadie Mason and the latter's boyfriend Rich Richmond in the Dueling Singers household.
Mercedes is the archetypal backstabbing best friend. She is at level 3 in the Singer career. Sadie, who is two levels higher than her in this career, is said to have helped her to begin in this occupation. However, Mercedes, who wants to be in the limelight, is beginning to steal the show, and is moreover highly interested in Rich. This has led Sadie to wonder if welcoming Mercedes into her home was a good idea.
