How well the Sim performs depends on how high his or her charisma skill is. Other Sims can watch and may boo or cheer. Using the open mic builds charisma skill. If FreeTime is installed, reciting poetry also builds enthusiasm for the Film and Literature hobby, while singing also builds enthusiasm for the Music and Dance hobby.
