Moneey cheats are available in all The Sims games.

klapaucius & rosebud

The Sims has the cheats klapaucius and rosebud. klapaucius only works with the unpatched version. They both give the current household an additional 1,000 Simoleons.

Enter cheat mode:
type: ^ Ctrl+⇧ Shift+C
type: klapaucius
Notes: Gives current household an additional 1,000 Simoleons. Unpatched version of The Sims only.

Enter cheat mode:
type: ^ Ctrl+⇧ Shift+C
type: rosebud
Notes: Gives current household an additional 1,000 Simoleons. Patched version of The Sims only.

Also, with this cheat, it's possible to type in klapaucius or rosebud, then a number of ";!"s next to it. Each of these gives an additional §1,000, so the more you put in, the more money the family will get.
