Norman Joy is a pre-created, playable Sim who appears in The Sims 3 and lives in Riverview. He lives with his grown daughter Elaine, and is afraid she'll move out from the farm and find a new place. This may suggest that he is conservative with old family ideals. It appears that his wife, Jenny has recently died, and he is still trying to get over it. He and his daughter have a private farm outside of their home, where they grow many kinds of vegetables and fruits. He has also some books and apples in his inventory, as well as other items.
He is best friends with his daughter, but doesn't know anyone else other than her. He has 5 skill points in Cooking, 3 in Fishing, 8 in Gardening and 3 in Handiness. One strange thing about him is that he is both technophobic and handy, so he is good at fixing most things even though he is afraid of electrical and electronic objects.
