Porthos is a pre-made small male dog from the Roseland family, which is added to the family bin of every neighborhood that is updated with the secret sub-neighborhood Pets from The Sims 2 Pets expansion pack. He considers his owner Cyd Roseland as part of his pack, suggesting a very close relationship between owner and pet.

Porthos appears to be somewhat based on the appearance of an American Pit Bull Terrier, with his square snout and perky ears. However, unlike Pit Bull Terriers, Porthos is small. His undercoat is white and all four paws have white socks. The upper coat is black and covers only his back and a masking over his face and ears.
