The Rambler family is a pre-made family from Mesa Flats, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims Pet Stories. The family consists of Shadow and Pooka Rambler, two stray cats. Shadow and Pooka have been traveling with each other for a long time. They came to Mesa Flats to see if it really is the cat paradise they've heard about. Shadow is an old hand at riding the rails and drifting from town to town. His energetic and enthusiastic companion, Pooka, keeps him going. She has been travelling with him ever since she was a kitten. They both don't make an appearance in the Midnight Masquerade story.
When the story is finished, the Rambler family can be found in the family bin without any funds, so that means they must move in with another household that also consistists of at least one Sim because the cats cannot take care of themselves.
This family and the Crittur family from The Sims 2: Pets are the only families that only have pets as residents.
