Slideshows over basic lot template[edit source]

I had a talk with someone who was opposed replacing these templates with a slideshow previews. My stance is that they would be a lot helpful for readers and intuitive than galleries for showcasing the content of lot from inside as well. This would be really useful, since such information is really lacking in this department and I think would be much better than creating additional articles devoting for individual premade house for elaborating on details with more images. My opponent said that using slideshows narrows the text greatly and severely, although I don't think it would do much harm from a quality standpoint as I reviewed this article by visualizing If changes were made. Idk, but what do guys think? For or against the changes? If so or so, explain why ? DrakonoSkerdikas (talk) 21:23, March 21, 2019 (UTC)

I would like to see you explain why you think slideshows are better than galleries first. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 21:41, March 21, 2019 (UTC)
For single articles, neither is greater or worse than the other. For the listing one, I envision galleries not working properly, as they're used once per article in a Heading 2 format. It was a genuine question of mine at start whether or not slideshow can be used, which then turn out to be a discussion with a person I was arguing with he. He implied that it would take a lot of space of the article for article, which I'm not really convince over his point as it barely noticeably takes a few centimeters, not an inch. I think better question why be oppose it, as I don't think readers will care much how they will view the pictures: either slideshow or gallery, they'll be clicking and navigation through arrow system anyways. Regardless, some way to showcase pictures of interiors I think is a must have for lots: these aren't game mechanics, qualities/biography of a Sim, or game description. These are architectual builts that need better visual representation. DrakonoSkerdikas (talk) 14:52, March 23, 2019 (UTC)
You keep mentioning off-wiki discussions but never provide links to them nor mention the participants. Anyways, it is not clear that you understand what I am saying: I am asking you why you think we should use slideshows instead of galleries and you keep responding to me as if I were opposed to including images of the interior of lots (which I am not). I am opposed to the idea of using slideshows because slideshows are a terrible way to display images IMO because they're clunky to use, and if these interior shots are few in number for each house (I can't imagine why we would need hundreds of images of the same house when a few top-down shots of each house will do just fine) then a simple gallery works best.
I don't think readers will care much how they will view the pictures: either slideshow or gallery, they'll be clicking and navigation through arrow system anyways I can't imagine where you might have picked up on such nonsense. Galleries don't have the "arrow system" that you mentioned. In case you are unaware, this is what a gallery looks like:
This is what a slideshow looks like:
And the way you write opponent and arguing implies that everyone is against you or out to get you for some reason, so I would encourage you to stop using those words. People who disagree with you are not against you. Now please answer my question as to why we should not use galleries and instead why we should use slideshows, as you have not provided any explanation for that. I've explained to you why I believe slideshows should not be used and normal galleries should be used instead. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 15:06, March 23, 2019 (UTC)
I should have more emphasis on after clicking, because the arrow system in different coat appears after clicking a gallery image. Sorry that I'm familiarize with the terminology you know and use for wiki portal. I never suggesting using multiple images from different angles for same floor (there may be exception for 2 or 3, but often keep it very minimal to one would be my suggestion), so I agree on that.
Off-topic
Does it really make a difference If I mention it or not where arguing... oh I'm sorry, I meant "disagreement" (or however the heck you want to take of the spin; seriously why nitpick? You scold me for using the "opponent", yet you haven't gave me suggestion for what should I use, now this story repeats) took place with who, because, well, I didn't provide details as it's in another platform place that requires to be log in and I did not want to point fingers with who I was argui--- erhhh, discussing. As for what glossary I use --- not my problem somebody gets offended for putting their own narrative to twist on words I put out to discuss the situation/matter.

Redacted as completely off topic and passive aggressive. Drakonoskerdikas, you need to take a break from this wiki because it's evident that you're getting really snarky and impolite with others really easily. I still remember that callous message you left on my talk page. Your edits are of low quality but that's preferable to the snark you show other editors and the short temper you have. 74.198.131.130 (talk) 15:45, March 23, 2019 (UTC)
