Pregnant
Is it safe to make a sim pregnant by him? Or is it not recommended? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Frogz2007 (talk • contribs)
- You can try, but there is a risk of corrupting your game. Joey.eyeball (talk)
- To be honest, I never heard that getting pregnant with unsafe NPCs with the Tombstone of L&D would cause corruption, but I'd never really recommend it. Nikel Talk – Vote! 02:16, November 3, 2013 (UTC)
- Well I probably should of said maybe in that sentence. Joey.eyeball (talk) 02:23, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

Age
Why is his age labeled as "Ambiguous"?Frogz2007 (talk) 16:01, December 15, 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not sure. Maybe the editor thought he looked like an elder while he was treated as an adult? Or maybe there's another technical reason? Nikel Talk – Vote! 17:03, December 15, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not sure how to explain this, but labeling him "Ambiguous" may be better than as an Adult. Even though he has grey hair, I might just agree that he should be labeled as an Adult. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 01:56, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
P.S. I must have labelled him "Ambiguous" at a time when I was unsure whether or not to pass off his grey hair with black genetics off as ambiguous. Now I have confirmed that I agree that he is unmistakably an Adult. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 05:10, June 1, 2014 (UTC)
- His hair is black. The greying effect is just a texture. IIRC, his hair can be found in the normal black hair with debug mode on in CAS, not grey elder hair. Nikel Talk – Vote! 14:09, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
- The reason why Frogz2007 reported a male gender preference is because he did a game-corrupting measure. When you make any unsafe NPC selectable, the game may attempt to create some data for the Sim. The safest (and surest) way to check an unsafe Sim's stats is to view them in SimPE. NEVER MAKE AN UNSAFE SIM SELECTABLE TO CHECK THEIR STATS. K6ka (talk | contrib) | NG Userpage | The Last Stand Wiki | The Sims Wiki | YouTube | Wikipedia 02:02, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
- The game has been known to modify files without the player actually saving their game (which means the changes are made even if the player doesn't save and just quits). Therefore, I would not recommend doing that. K6ka (talk | contrib) | NG Userpage | The Last Stand Wiki | The Sims Wiki | YouTube | Wikipedia 02:17, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
- Yes and although there is no significant corruption in my game, I did change Mrs. Crumplebottom's hairstyle (giving her the one with hair pins instead of a hat). Even though I didn't save the game like I always do after messing with unsafe NPCs, by the time I realized the game had saved the makeover I gave to Mrs. Crumplebottom, it was too late. But I'm not too worried, she still acts the same and she still does her job. If you do try to modify the appearances or simology of unsafe NPCs like the Therapist, the game can undo some of the modifications whether you've saved them or not. I'll keep in mind what I've heard or been told, even though I don't really mess with unsafe NPCs these days anyway. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 02:29, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not sure why some people still dare to experiment with the NPCs, unless they take the risk to corrupt their games (not just neighborhood). Yes, the modification still persists even if you don't save the game. I tried to make Mrs. C selectable to check something and guess what, my objects.package was modified and I was ignorant enough not to make a backup. Who knows what would happen when you do modify these NPCs? I sure wouldn't want to know. Nikel Talk – Vote! 14:13, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
I'd sure like to know. Not that I'd want it to happen. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 05:14, January 21, 2014 (UTC)
From what I've just experienced with some Sims 2 Expansion packs I was given, if a Sim does not yet have a Gender preference, and you try to examine a Sims' gender preference, the game may incorrectly state that they are homosexual, when in fact they are still asexual / undetermined. - I believe that the output of the cheat has to be one another, be it "male" or "female", and "male" is the default value of the string. Because of this, it might lead to an inaccurate information. It doesn't explicitly mean his preference is for males. It's undetermined, but the message dialog has to output something, which is "male" by default. Nikel Talk – Vote! 15:27, June 1, 2014 (UTC)
I believe you're right! C.Syde (talk | contribs) 04:38, June 2, 2014 (UTC)
Appearing in-game
For some reason a few years ago the game tried to use the Therapist in a walk-by when it was night time but it didn't work. The Therapist just stood there and then at some point when I looked back he had gone. No cheats used. C.Syde (talk | contribs) 01:56, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
- I am almost certain that was game corruption. K6ka (talk | contrib) | NG Userpage | The Last Stand Wiki | The Sims Wiki | YouTube | Wikipedia 01:59, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
- The Therapist should never appear as a walk-by in normal gameplay. Problems that involve universal NPCs are almost always blamed on game corruption, if they are not caused by CC.
