Administrative Projects are a special requirement for wiki Administrators and Bureaucrats. Under community consensus, Administrators and Bureaucrats ("TSW Staff") are required to hold two (2) Administrative Projects at a time. TSW Staff are allowed to choose which projects they want to work in, subject to approval from a Bureaucrat. TSW Staff are still responsible for basic administrative tasks, regardless of the project they are working on.

Available Projects

Each project has its own page with a list of tasks, work currently being done, and other detailed information about each project. Click on the name of the Administrative Project to go to its project page.

Image and File Maintenance

Staff is responsible for keeping wiki files organized, categorized and copyright compliant. Duties include renaming generic-named files, adding licensing information, warning or taking action against users who repeatedly violate image or file rules, and in improving current images whenever possible.

Fanon Administration

Staff is responsible for moderating inside the Fanon namespace, including the Fanon Portal. Duties include moving pages into the Fanon namespace, deleting poorly-written pages, enforcing rules and policies regarding content and fanon, updating the monthly fanon-related features, and serving as a resource for fanon authors.

Project members: GEORGIEGIBBONS (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), Woganhemlock (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), RoseGui (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), Andronikos Leventis (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), DanPin (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), Starmoonie (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), Bakerychaz (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log)
Visual Improvement

Staff is responsible for making the wiki visually appealing and visually united under a coherent theme. Duties include leading redesigns of wiki and content pages, working to update graphics, logos and backgrounds used by The Sims Wiki, setting and updating a unified visual theme for the wiki, and bringing all main pages under the unified theme.

Project members: Auror Andrachome (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log)
Community Development

Staff is responsible for serving as a link between the Staff, editors and readers of The Sims Wiki. Duties include making users aware of upcoming events and projects, working to mediate disputes between editors and between administrators and editors, managing community events and contests, and building community involvement in the wiki.

Project members: GEORGIEGIBBONS (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), Bleeh (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), LostInRiverview (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), DanPin (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), Bakerychaz (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log)
Layout and Navigation

Staff is responsible for making sure that articles on the wiki are appropriately categorized and that they have a high quality layout and are easy to navigate, so that readers will be able to find as much information as they can on their topic.

Project members: RoseGui (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), Nikel23 (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log), LostInRiverview (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log)

Additional Projects

TSW Staff may propose the creation of additional projects as necessary. These projects may be special to one particular TSW staff member, or open for multiple staff members to fill. New projects should be suggested on the project applications page.

Project Reports

From time to time, TSW Staff may be asked by a bureaucrat to report on work done in their project area. Staff should be actively working to fulfill the duties of their project area. Failure to show work in a project may lead to action against the staff, if necessary.

Featured Content Management

Additionally, Administrators are responsible for managing or assisting in managing Featured Content on the wiki main page. While every administrator should monitor these pages and attend to issues as they arise, The Sims Wiki has chosen to operate by having designated administrators/bureaucrats responsible for changing over the feature when necessary. Below is a table with a list of current or past features, and the Administrator(s) responsible for changing them. If you wish to aid in a featured item, contact the administrator(s) working on them currently; ideally, each project should have at least two administrators leading them, to avoid lapses in management if an administrator becomes absent. Note that the table below doesn't include featured fanon content, as those features are managed by the Fanon Administration Project, or items exclusively on the Community Portal as those features are managed by the Community Development Project.
