Nomination[edit source]

IP 74.198.131.130 (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log) has tagged this game guide for deletion but has not created a deletion discussion page. Inviting the IP to comment here. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 18:01, February 3, 2019 (UTC)

The IP has not responded, leaving just the reasoning provided in the {{Delete}} template: No point to this game guide. Needless duplicate of Game guide:Killing Sims. Should be a user blog. This I can agree with, to an extent, in that it seems to be more like an idea rather than a serious game guide in the same spirit of, for example, Game guide:How to care for twins and triplets or Game guide:Which disc is used to start?. The Sims is a game of open-ended gameplay, and The Sims Wiki is not a wiki that's intended to fully capture every possibility out there. Such activities are best kept to the user blog namespace or in the fanon namespace. In any case, other elements of the page, like 1 out of 10 Sim right activist approve this tutorial!, the frequent use of the word "I", and Leave a comment down below If this tutorial been helpful., certainly do not meet with the tone of a game guide that we expect to see on The Sims Wiki. On a note with the last point, the game guide namespace does not accept user-submitted comments, so such a statement at the end comes across as definitely sounding more like it would belong in the user blog space. As such, I support deletion, or at the very least, move to User blog:DrakonoSkerdikas/How to run a successful suicidal service ?. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 19:43, March 9, 2019 (UTC)

I would support a move to a user blog or somewhere within DrakonoSkerdikas' userspace. I would also add that content in the Game Guides namespace is under public ownership. If someone wanted to take the initiative to clean up the informal language and other issues of the article so that the article conforms to standards, I would consider supporting a keep. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog · contribs 15:48, May 28, 2019 (UTC)
Changing my input. The page doesn't belong in the Game Guides namespace; that much seems to be agreed upon here. The idea of moving it to the user's own user space or blog seemed to have support. However, the issue is moot because the creator of the article is now indefinitely blocked from the wiki. The page doesn't belong in any content namespace, and moving it to the user's own space makes no sense because the user cannot edit the wiki. Therefore, I support deletion. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog · contribs 04:19, December 22, 2019 (UTC)
I would prefer the content be moved as well. The Game guide:Killing Sims already exists for our more disturbed death-intrigued Simmers. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 17:34, May 28, 2019 (UTC)

Closing[edit source]

This has been open quite long enough. There has been zero support for keeping the page in the Game Guides namespace. A rename to the user's own userspace would've made sense, but the user is indefinitely blocked, so it is silly to move a page there. Deletion is really the only rational course. So, it is deleted. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog · contribs 23:55, January 28, 2020 (UTC)
