Nomination[edit source]

I, LostInRiverview, would like to nominate Pidgeoraptor7 (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log) for administrator.

Pidgeoraptor has been an active member of The Sims Wiki for over a year. In that time, he has become a rollbacker and has served as an Ombudsman; in this capacity, he was able to help resolve a contentious past RfA. Outside of being ombudsman, he is active in editing on the fanon and main namespaces. He is experienced and competent, is a good communicator, and has shown himself to be fair in the past. I feel Pidgeoraptor would benefit greatly from receiving these rights and I feel the wiki would benefit from him receiving these rights. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 21:09, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

Firstly, thank you for nominating me! I appreciate your kindness and I'm glad to know that others think of me as helpful around the wiki. I'm sincerely flattered. I accept your nomination, and I hope that this will be a good experience for me! I think it's fairly obvious that I will apply for Fanon Administration, and as a secondary I suppose I shall take Layout and Navigation. Again, thank you LiR for nominating me; I was contemplating nominating myself in the near future anyway, but it's good to know that another user thinks I am ready. :3 PGR7 (parler - entendre) 02:24, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

Discussion[edit source]

This discussion has ended.

I reckon Pidge would be an awesome admin for TSW! He is extremely friendly, kind and fair towards others here. He's also a great editor in both the main namespace and the Fanon namespace, so he's well-travelled (on the wiki :D) and experienced at editing. So, like LiR, I think that both Pidge and the wiki would benefit from Pidge becoming an administrator! ~ Waikikamukow (Anyone wanna chat?) 06:58, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

Pidge meets all the requirements. He has community involvement and dispute resolution record and I believe giving him these tools would only help him to keep up the good work he has done and will continue to do; this is will be for the benefit of wiki! He is very kind too. All of which are desirable qualities for an admin to have. --RoseGui (talk) 09:10, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

Pidge is a kind user. He has helped the community by joining in on many community discussions and making sure that his point has been across. He is also kind to his fellow users, being friendly towards them in nice, civil conversations. Pidge has also done some excellent work as a rollbacker, reverting quite a good amount of vandalism which shows that his work with the rollback tool has certainly given Pidge some good experience. Therefore, I find that Pidge is ready to become an administrator and I too feel that the wiki would benefit from him becoming one. Good luck Pidge! :) Beds (parlare - da leggere) 10:04, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

I'm going to flat-out say DO WANT. DO IT NAO. All arguments I'd bring up are already mentioned at top, so I don't think I need say more. MILK FOR THE UNYUUFEX, FLAT CHEST FOR THE CUTENESS THRONE, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL PROBES (user talk:Mathetesalexandrou) 18:47, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

^ Pidge is a boss, who's only done good for this wiki and its members! Me!-Bwahaha! 20:18, August 1, 2013 (UTC)Hurshbr

Per much of the above, Pidge has done an amazing job as our "Ombudsman". He's also been a competent and experienced editor so I'm sure he'll benefit from the tools. Ѧüя◎ґ (talk) 07:39, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

Pidge has established himself as an efficient editor on-wiki and has proven he's capable of remaining level headed when in the position of taking a neutral standpoint. I believe him becoming an admin will greatly benefit Pidge as an editor and the wiki in its entirety. Lost Labyrinth (c)(b) 14:30, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

Pidge doesn't just know he is ready, he shows he is ready for this tool. He's done a great job as an ombudsman and now its his time to become an administrator. Pidge really deserves this tool and he shows it when he edits! Jason (Talk) {{{1}}} 07:21, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

Administratorship isn't deserved. User rights shouldn't be seen as an award for a user's contributions to the wiki. Lost Labyrinth (c)(b) 09:32, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

As far as I've seen, nothing is wrong with him becoming an admin :D Deskita

Conclusion[edit source]

The response is overwhelmingly in favor of this promotion. Consensus therefore has been reached, and rights have been given. -- LostInRiverview talk ~ blog 05:25, August 6, 2013 (UTC)
