In The Sims: Vacation, playing carnival games will earn all participating Sims game tokens, which can then be exchanged at the carnival prize booth for souvenirs. Body skill appears to affect how well Sims do at the games, and therefore how many tokens they win. Also, the more expensive games tend to yield more tokens. Some players have observed that Sims seem to get better at the games the more they play them, but this is unconfirmed.

Captain Popper's Dart Game costs §5 per player - Sims throw darts at balloons attached to a rear wall. Sims will get three tries at popping the balloons. A Sim who pops 1 balloon will receive 3 prize tokens, a Sim who pops 2 balloons get 6 tokens, and a Sim that pops 3 balloons get 9 tokens. A Sim that misses all their shots will not receive any tokens.
Due to sedentary lifestyles, vanity muscle building, and the personal injury industry, strength tests are on their way out. The Strength O Meter costs §4 per player - Sims use a mallet to launch a weight upwards in order to ring a bell at the top, in which they will receive 6 tokens. Sims get three tries to ring the bell at the top. A Sim that fails to ring the bell within the three tries will not receive any prize tokens.

The Chicken Toss Game costs §6 per player - Sims smack a button to launch a fake chicken into a large pot. If they successfully launch the chicken into the pot, they will receive 10 prize tokens. If they miss, they will get another try, up to three tries. Sims who miss all three attempts will not win prize tokens.

The Bust-A-Clown Game costs §5 per player - Sims aim a gun of water at a blue balloon in order to pop a clown head balloon. If they pop the clown head, they will receive 8 tokens. Sims may have their gun jam or run out of water before they pop the balloon, in which they will receive no tokens.

Hungry Hungry Hamsters! costs §5 per player, and functions similarly to Bust-A-Clown, except the blue balloon has been replaced with a hamster and the clown head has been replaced with an acorn.

Work feverishly against the clock or against an opponent. The player who inflicts the most pain on Will wins a prize! Totally addicting! Self-helping Will-bot and motor never need tuning.
Whack-A-Will! costs §7 per player. It functions similarly to Whac-A-Mole. Sims hit miniature versions of Will Wright's head that pop up out of a fake cityscape. Unlike other carnival games, Sims will always be able to win at least some tokens from the game. Two Sims can play together, and they will usually be distracted by the conversation, which results in fewer tokens being won. Sims can win from a range of 3 to 16 tokens.
Carnival games are just plain unrewarding if players can't win prizes. Plus, how are you going to keep the subsidized merchandise pay-offs coming without the merchandise? That's why any carnivaleur knows you build your carnival around the prize booth. Once the kids see the prizes, their parent's money is as good as yours. Place prominently for maximum effect.
