The Sims Wiki

There have been a few recent events on The Sims Wiki. Here is a list and summary of each.

Game announcements and rumors[edit source]

  • The Sims 3: Generations expansion pack - This game is intended to bring several new elements to The Sims Series, such as proms, treehouses, pranking, and more grounds of family.
  • The Sims 3: Unleashed - This rumored title, if official, would be the third game in The Sims Series that involves Pets. The title comes from the original pets game, The Sims: Unleashed and takes elements from The Sims 2: Pets. This rumor has not been confirmed and EA has made no official announcement regarding it.
  • The Sims 3: Life Moments - This rumored new game for The Sims Series may be released on the new Nintendo 3DS game system. This rumor also has not been confirmed or officially announced.

New Staff[edit source]

A lot's happened this past month! Give a round of applause to Thelamppost for succesfully requesting to become a fanon admin! We all know he'll do a fantastic job as one. LiR, who has been a very faithful sysop this past year, was given bureaucrat rights to fill in the position after Duskey disappeared from the wiki. Speaking of inactive staff, TDM has had his rights revoked after his inactivity finally came back to bite him. All admins, please remember the Inactive Admin Policy. If you will be inactive, please state this on your userpage so it won't be mistaken for a disappearance.

Cite sources[edit source]

Guys, please remember to cite your sources, as in <ref><SOURCE HERE></ref>. This helps keep the information on the wiki more truthful, and it can really give all of us a break. For example, an unregistered contributor adds a Sim's supposed sign? How does he know? Does have the actual gameplay to show the sign? Does he have a good source? If he doesn't, than you remove the information. Why do you remove the information? Because it doesn't have a reliable source. Images are considered to be sources, but you also have to remember, images can be photoshopped, and Sims can be easily made. "That Sim could easily have been made and uploaded from SimPE by that user!" Therefore, it would be better if sources were actually typed out, not images. Images are still okay, though, but we would still like an actual source.
