RE: Edit to The Sims Wiki:Birthdays[edit source]
Hello, thank you for your message.
As verification is an important part of ensuring account security, I can't simply take your word for it that the ForeverBritish account belongs to you (Imagine if someone else created an account and claimed to be you, and managed to have unwanted changes done without your permission!). If you still have access to ForeverBritish, you may log in to that account and remove its entry from the Birthdays page. Otherwise, they will be treated as two different users.
On another important note, this wiki asks that its users link any alternate accounts they may have, usually by simply mentioning the connection on the alternate account's userpage. For example, if ForeverBritish belongs to you:
- Log in to ForeverBritish
- Add the following text to ForeverBritish's userpage: "This account is an alternate account owned by EggMcbeth" (Or something like that, just as long as you mention the link. If you don't use the account anymore, you can mention that as well.)
- You can also mention that ForeverBritish belongs to you on EggMcbeth's userpage.
Also, if you simply wanted to change your username, you can request that Wikia Staff rename your account to a different username via this form. Your contributions will be moved over to your new name, you'll retain any settings and preferences set for that account, and best of all, there isn't a fiasco about having multiple accounts. Most communities will generally prefer that you requested a rename rather than creating a new account.
