Lifetime wish images[edit source]

Well done on adding those lifetime wish images, they just need to be assigned their proper category which would be Category:Lifetime wish images. How did you extract them from the game? Duskey(talk) 14:17, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Lifetime wish images[edit source]

I'm using the tool s3pe that can open and edit .package-files. It can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/sims3tools/

Thanks, I think I already have that program lying around, it even has its own page here: Sims 3 Package Explorer. I see you added images for Lifetime rewards too, keep up the wonderful work! Duskey(talk) 21:45, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

Decorating your userpage[edit source]

Hello there, it seems you've been contributing some to The Sims Wiki, we're so glad! Why not take a moment to decorate your userpage? You can add some small facts about yourself, how you play the game and also add userboxes. Check it out!

Should you have any questions about the wiki, feel free to contact me on my talk page. Duskey(talk) 02:03, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

The Stupid trait[edit source]

Do you have a screenshot of those 'game strings' or anything? That'd be great. Also I don't quite understand which files to open with S3PE to find stuff. Any info you can give would be appreciated. Duskey(talk) 05:05, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Within s3pe make sure that you set "Preview" to "Off" otherwise you will have to wait a long time for it to load. Choose Open in the menu and open the file "\GameData\Shared\Packages\FullBuild0.package" in your install folder for the Sims 3. In the "Instance" box enter "0x000F16B00BA8342F" and check the check-box then press "Set" and check "Filter Active". Now the English String table should be the only visible file, so click on it and press the "Edit STBL" button (Can take some time to open). In the new window scroll down to about the middle of the strings, because there the trait strings are located. If you look a bit up and down you can find the strings for Stupid, but also for some of the other lost traits and a few not found on the list in this wiki (here is a list of a few string-id's : trait_strings.txt). Remember not to save the file afterwards. Henek 07:33, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
Are you sure you're not using SimPE and not Sims 3 Package Explorer? Duskey(talk) 08:38, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
I'm using the latest version of s3pe: http://sourceforge.net/projects/sims3tools/
