Hi Random Ranaun!

I hope this is the right section. Are you still accepting entries for The Sims Fanon Wiki Logo contest? I was thinking of submitting another, despite the amount of votes I got. I was rushing it and didn't take a lot of time on it. I noticed it was said that late entries may be counted.

Email

Hello there! I thought I should contact the entire admin team about this, since this is a little bit off-wiki but still, from what I and some contacted admins can see, an idea that could be beneficial for The Sims Wiki.

I am currently in the planning - almost creating - process of making an email account for The Sims Wiki. This account, while not needed extremely, could bring a large amount of positive things for the wiki.

Firstly, this is a smaller The Sims Wiki version of Special:Contact. Through this, we can send surveys to users about new features or ideas we implement. Do the users agree with a makeover of the Community Portal? Do the users want this policy to be added? What ideas do users have for the future?

Secondly, we can use this for more private, though still completely controlled, user reporting. If I see someone being rude to me and don't want to "look stupid" by reporting it to an admin, which some users do think, what do I do? I send an email through, and let an admin read it and check what's been going on. Note: This isn't a "I emailed first!" scenario, every user involved, included the sender, will be investigated.

Thirdly, and this is completely optional for users, they can "subscribe" to the newsletter. This will be where they allow us to send a monthly, if not bi-weekly, email, containing links to active votes and discussions, the Newsletter, open positions, new features, etc.

Now, I still have a lot of ideas on how to use this productively, but another reason I'm contacting all admins is to sort out something. I know that I may not be completely trusted by all of the admins to handle this alone so I am going to ask all admins who wish to join the project to say so on my talk page, and I will send the password to you once the email account is activated. Currently, I prefer as little users managing this account as possible, due to problems that may arise if all admins had access to the same account. I would appreciate only bureaucrats requesting the password if they like, but I still encourage admins to request it if they wish.

Please note that this account will not use my, or any other user's real account password, as that would be pretty dumb to hand out on a silver plate.

I hope you all read this and think about ideas and or reasons to oppose it.

Fanon Wiki

Hey RR,

Just letting you know I put a message on several talkpages of users at fanon wiki, telling them to show opinion on the merge. I still think we need to find another way to do this merge, though, because they are giving no opinion or anything. Anyway, I'll be on the IRC the time I'm always on tomorrow, and if for some reason I don't show you can give me a message if you have any ideas to how we are going to do this thing. Question about family tree pictures

I have posted a question in the Hogan's Deep Fried Diner portion of the Forumns and the question is what program is best to use to create a family tree picture found here on The Sims Wiki and someone said that you do the family tree pictures here on TSW and I would like to know what you use to do the best quality of work? I have home premium of Windows Vista and soon to get Mac Book Air or Mac Book Pro for birthday this year if all things goes well and I can do it on the new Apple products since I am a MacHead. Usually this would be a good thing but you are posting family trees and the only thing you have changed about them is putting the family name in the middle, no offence but I really don't see the point in it.
