Your main page prototype
There's a very real chance that your main page may be implemented while the wiki is using the Halloween Theme. The theme is set to be rolled out this Wednesday. That means from then until we go back to the standard theme, your main page prototype won't match the wiki's theme. Currently the main page templates have been updated to use a new template, {{Theme color}}. Theme color outputs a hexadecimal color code depending on the input it's given. Right now it outputs two colors, green and blue; {{Theme color|<blue>}} replaces #2479A5 and {{Theme color|<green>}} replaces #49AB00. When the Halloween Theme is rolled out, the template will be changed, so each template that uses theme color will also update automatically. I'd suggest that you update any templates that your prototype main page uses to use Theme color instead of the hexadecimal color codes.

- I had noticed that you added the halloween colors to the template - I removed them. This is because, when we switch to the new theme, I'm simply going to replace the green hex color with an orange hex color, and the blue hex color with a purple one. So the code for the color will still be {{Theme color|<blue>}} or {{Theme color|<green>}}, but the theme color template itself will be changed so that it displays orange and purple. The wiki headers ({{MP header blue}} and {{MP header green}}) are based on code in the wiki's .css page, which I'll be updating when the theme goes live. "Must reads" for The Sim's Pen
I'm thinking that we need a better process for selecting fanons for the "Must-Reads" section of The Sim's Pen, since I don't want to repeat anything, and as time passes and more entries are published, the harder and harder it gets to keep up with things if we don't have a process for them. Maybe we could list potential fanons somewhere, and the next time we write TSP we pull from the list, instead of looking for some good fanon to post. --I am k6ka Talk to me! Promotion to administrator
Congratulations on your nomination and promotion to administrator! We're glad to see you join the administrative team!
Before you jump head-first into the action, I'd like to introduce you to these tools...
As an admin, you can:
- Delete and undelete pages, and view deleted pages
- Block and unblock users
- Protect and unprotect pages
- Edit edit filters
- Grant or revoke chat moderator rights (admins automatically get these abilities)
- And a lot more...
Please keep in mind that, even though you are an administrator, you're not "in charge" of the wiki, you're but a, shall we say... "janitor". You should only use your tools to clean up vandalism or for non-controversial housekeeping tasks. They should not be used to gain advantage over a content dispute. If you are in a content dispute, consult dispute resolution and talk it out with the other editors.
Don't feel like you're obliged to use your tools. You don't have to use your tools if you don't want to. If you're uncomfortable in a situation, you reserve the full right to back out of it, and ask another administrator to handle it for you. Remember, Wikia is a volunteer service! We want you to be comfortable editing here!
There is a help page on administrators over at Community Central. You can go there and read over how to use the tools! And if you want to experiment, you can play around in your own user space. If you have questions regarding the administrator tools, you are always more than welcome to ask us, either at the The Sims Wiki:Administrators' noticeboard, at our IRC channel, or on my talk page.
