Beaumont DeBateau is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. He was the son of Jocques and Deidre DeBateau, the husband of Melanie DeBateau (née Antross), the father of Armand DeBateau, and the adoptive grandfather of Tara DeBateau. Beaumont is completely resurrectable, even though he doesn't have a grave. He has the Popularity aspiration, and the Gemini zodiac sign. As far as personality, Beaumont is very active and quite outgoing. But he is somewhat sloppy, and quite serious and grouchy.

According to Beaumont's SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was blond before it turned grey. According to his age data, he had 11 days left in the elder life stage when he died. Beaumont uses the 16th Maxis face template in Create a Sim, except the lower face is slightly wider, and the chin is slightly narrower. Also the jaw is longer than on the default face. However the jaw is only longer on teenage, adult and elder females, which may mean that the jaw was genetically passed down, as this oddity generally only occurs on Sims whose facial features were genetically passed down.

Beaumont's SimDNA in SimPE shows that his recessive alleles are for red hair and light blue eyes. Also his dominant skin tone range is for tanned skin, while his recessive skin tone range is for medium skin. However Beaumont's dominant and recessive alleles are for tanned skin. Unlike several other married ancestors from Apartment Life who have memories of their spouses, he only has Mystery Sim memories. However Beaumont still has the memory of Armand's birth. Despite his lifetime want, he isn't interested in Politics.

Beaumont is a French name for "beautiful mountain," and it is pronounced boh·mon.
