Benjamin Burb is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Pleasantview, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. He was the husband of Susan Burb, the father of Brad Burb, the grandfather of John Burb, and the great-grandfather of Lucy Burb. Although Benjamin is deceased when the game begins, he appears in the family tree of his grandson John Burb.

According to his SimDNA in SimPE, Benjamin's hair was blond before it turned grey. According to his age data, he had 9 days left in the elder life stage when he died. Like most pre-made deceased Sims from The Sims 2, Benjamin is completely unplayable without the use of hacks or third party programs, such as SimPE.

Though his character data was deleted, regenerating him with SimPE is a tad easier than most dead ancestors, as his facial features are almost, if not identical to that of the 22nd Maxis face template in Create a Sim, unlike most "unresurrectable" Sims that have customized facial features.
