Robert Newbie, Jr., (best known as Boob Newbie) was a premade sim in The Sims in the tutorial family, the Newbies. He is the son of Robert Newbie and Mags Newbie. He is the husband of Mortimer Goth, the father of Betty Newbie and grandfather of Ziggy Tutti, Rod Tutti and the unborn son of Betty Newbie.

Life leading up to The Sims

Bob Newbie was one of the premade Sims in The Sims, he and his Husband Mortimer had just moved into the neighborhood at the start of the game. They are inhabitants of 'Neighborhood 1' and make up the welcome wagon. Bob is a Tutorial character who has many similarities to Homer Simpson. Bob is also a Active worker who lets his Husband Mortimer rest and Bob takes care of the house. He is characterized by dingy, greasy clothing and a bald head. Although he is married with Him, his relationship with Mortimer is not very good, and it is unclear at that time whether or not they are married. He and his Husband Mortimer are probably one of the most popular sims in the sim universe.

Life leading up to The Sims 2

By the time the storyline has caught to The Sims 2, he and his Husband Mortimer are already Married, though he left a daughter, Betty Newbie to raise her family. She is the mother to two sons, Ziggy Tutti and Rod Tutti, and is pregnant with her third son at the start of The Sims 2. She is the widow of Dudley Landgraab. He, his husband, his parents, and his in-laws can be resurrected with SimPE

Life leading up to The Sims 3

Robert and Mags Newbie moved to Riverview along with their teenage son, Bob. Bob had a hard time adjusting to the move, but he’s found a new boyfriend to occupy his time.''

Bob Newbie is also an available character on SimCity 4. (Note: The selectable people like him are sort of like the NPCs of today's The Sims 2. They can be selected, and you can change their names, signs, and houses. However, the houses are extremely limited, and you can't play as them.)
